Gita McCutcheon is a PR and marketing veteran, specializing in the food & beverage / hospitality sector. She founded Gita Group, her public relations and marketing agency, in 2006 after working at two top agencies in New York City: Nike Communications and Susan Magrino Agency. In 2015, she transitioned her agency into a 360-degree consultancy structure, through which she curates teams around the specific needs of her clients and projects.

Through her 20+ years in the industry, she has pioneered countless successful PR, marketing, and digital campaigns for a wide range of brands and personalities that span from luxury to mass-appeal. She has a proven method of execution that incorporates the type of personalized, hands-on and transparent experience clients receive from in-house marketing teams and leads to tangible, revenue-driven returns. Coupled with her preference to keep her roster selective so that she can continue to be hands-on with each client, this approach has created and maintained many successful and flourishing relationships with her long-time clients and contacts.

Gita has taken innumerable brands from concept to market/success, in addition to rebranding or spearheading expansion for existing brands, by helping to think through all phases of their businesses to create innovative campaigns that are heard and seen by their target audiences.

Her expertise covers branding, brand marketing, public and press relations/placement, industry relations and B2B marketing, digital strategy, creative strategies, new revenue development, media training, talent deals, partnerships and collaborations, influencer marketing, brand and business consultation, re-branding, events and experiential marketing.

Currently, Gita spends the majority of her time working with the Michelin Guide USA on their experiential marketing programs, including developing partners, creating events and experiences, and developing marketing and PR strategies around programming. Additionally, she works with a handful of other clients and projects - mostly leaning on her most trusted colleagues and their agencies to form bespoke teams that meet her clients’ specific business goals.

Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Gita spent her childhood between Santa Fe and the Hudson Valley region of New York. She is an artist outside of her career. A graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, Gita now serves on the Communications Board for her alma mater. She is also an advocate of sustainable food choices and the humane treatment of animals who are raised for food.
